We Have a Winner...And a New Theme!!

Wow! Congrats to everyone who made a fashion statement this month! 30 pies. All great! But, we must have a winner, and so, without further ado...

We have TWO.

Two winners. Didn't see that coming, did you?

Batik Pies, by Nic of Bakeologie and Tie Dye Pie, by Cooking With Carrie tied for the honor of winning this months fashionable theme!! Great going, ladies! We'll be emailing you shortly with your Winning Badges so that you can display them on your blogs!

Because we are just a little off our rockers here, we do things however we want. That being said, we want Carrie and Nic to SHARE the hostessing of the next theme. That means you two will be buddies, working as an awesome pie creating duo to come up with the theme that will take us into the New Year! Please get together and get your theme to us by December 5th, so that we can announce it with our next round of winners!

Now, the moment you have all been waiting for...The Third Theme. Chosen by Anne Strawberry, who shared the winning badge with Holly the PheMomenon last round, has emailed us her AMAZING theme idea. Ready??

Holiday Songs

Cold weather is here. Halloween has come and gone and the malls in my area are already decorated for the holidays and playing that wonderful music. Music and food are both strongly tied to memories and moods so I thought these would go together perfectly.

This month's theme is holiday music- make a pie inspired by your favorite holiday song.

Whether it's a snowy white "Winter wonderland" pie covered with meringue, or a "Rudolph" tart, covered with red berries in honor of everyone's favorite reindeer. Whether it's ingredients, colors, flavors, or even traditions that remind you of your favorite holiday song, the results will be delicious.Get your creativity going and come up with a truly unique and inspired holiday pie.

With a group like this I can't wait to see the awesome things people come up with!

Wow, Anne!! Great idea!

Okay, Creative Tarts. You know the drill, right? Post your pie on your blog anytime between now and December 3 at 3:14pm EST. When your post is up, email pieswiththat (at) gmail (dot) com with a link, a thumbnail photo, and of course, the name of your pie & your name, etc. New Pie Makers...want to be a Creative Tart? Just email us with your entry and we'll get you added, just like the others.

Voting will begin December 6th and last until 3:14pm EST on the 8th. Only those who participate can vote, so MAKE A PIE!!

Good luck, and once again, Great Job everyone!!

Pie Deadline Extension

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to make sure you all had a chance to enter your pies in this month's event. Remember, some of the entry details changed. You can read all about it here: http://pieswiththat.blogspot.com/2008/10/theme-two-pies-as-fashion-statement.html

Your pie should be posted by Nov. 3rd and an email sent to us here at pieswiththat@gmail.com

If you are running late, with all the Halloween hullabaloo and election excitement (ahem, like me... it is my theme and I haven't even had a chance to make my pie yet! How embarassing!).

Anyway, I will take entries and posts for the roundup through the 6th of November. That still gives a bit of breathing room to get the roundup ready for posting and voting on the 8th and gives you almost a week to create and post something!

Remember, your pie doesn't have to be fancy - it should just reflect some sort of fashion statement - high fashion, no fashion, color, pattern, trend, theme, whatever! Have fun with it!

Thanks for playing along!

Holly @ PheMOMenon
