A New Theme for September!

Thanks to everyone who submitted a "Personality Pie"- I think we all had a really great time with that one! This time around, Amy of Sing For Your Supper took the win with her Sunny and Bright Strawberry Lemonade Cheesecake Pie.
And now, let's move on to our new theme for September!

"September brings so many wonderful things- Fall, Pumpkin Spice Lattes, my anniversary (yay!), and most importantly....football season! Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?! Now, I know that pretty much everybody has a team they love to root for; whether it be a college team (Gig 'em, Aggies!), a pro team, or possibly their kids' peewee football team. Everybody (well, everybody in America, at least) loves football. So I'm choosing "football" for our September theme. I'd like to see pies inspired by football in some way- maybe a pie you'd take to a tailgate party, or your favorite pie to serve at a football-watching party; it could include your Alma Mater's colors, or maybe it's just football-shaped. Doesn't matter as long as it's all about football!" -Amy

You know the drill - create and post your pie on or before September 13th and email us (pieswiththat at gmail dot com) with the link to your post and a 300pix picture. We look forward to seeing what everybody comes up with!

May's Winners and A New Theme For June!

What a FUN month this has been! We hope everyone enjoyed the "Pizza Pie" theme for May- we sure enjoyed seeing all the fantastic pizzas everybody put together! And now, the news we've all been waiting for!

Congratulations to our winners (a tie!), Suz of You Can't Eat What? with her Bacon, Leek and Tomato Pizza and Sara of Cupcake Muffin with her Pear-Prosciutto-Gruyere Pizza with Spinach Salad!! These pizzas looked fabulous, girls! Sara and Suz have the honor of choosing a new theme for June and here's what they came up with:

"Summery Drinks Pie"

"Since the month of June has the first day of summer, we were both thinking of summery things. For this sunny (hopefully) month, participants should make a pie inspired by their favorite frozen drink to sip at the beach. The drink doesn't have to be alcoholic, nor does the pie have to be frozen." -Sara and Suz

What a COOL theme! Thanks ladies! Now get in those kitchens and get to creating your summery, sweet pies! And remember, after you've created and blogged your pie, email us the link to your post, the title of your pie, your blog name and a 300pix picture (please don't send us a picture as big as our heads...help make our jobs a tad easier by resizing it for us! If you don't know how to resize- Google is your friend!) of your pie. You have until June 13th to email us with your submission!

We simply can't WAIT to see all the summery, delicious pies! Help us spread the 'You Want Pies With That?' love by telling your friends, facebooking, tweeting, whatever - let's make June our biggest month of pie-making yet! See you in June!
