Theme One: "I Love that Movie!"

Huh?

Yep, the theme for our first month of pies is to pick a movie you love and make a pie based on it. For example, let's say you just LOVE little Elliott & E.T. Maybe you would want to make a Peanut Butter Pie topped with loads of Reese's Pieces since that was a key ingredient in the film. Or maybe there is a quote from a movie you can base your pie from. Be creative! There's no right answer, no wrong answer! Just have FUN!

Posting date for our first challenge is coming up quick...October 8!

Once you have posted on the 8th, scoot back over here to Pie Central and leave your comment on this post so that we know you are ready for us to visit!

Now, get those creative juices flowing!

This is unfair, you can't do this to people. Don't you realize I have enough to do without... making...

Oh pie, I love you.

Ok, I've scheduled my post but I won't be here to comment, so make sure to stop by and check out my pie on the eighth! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! :)

This should be fun! I'm not sure how I find y'all but I hope you don't mind me joining in. I love baking but have always had trouble with pies (whice I love) so I hoping this will help me! LOL

What a fun monthly competition! I don't think I can make it by Oct 8, but I will definitely participate next month.

I wish I would have stumbled upon this earlier though! I would have made a Strata Pie (it would be a Savory Pie) from the movie The Family Stone, Sarah Jessica Parker's charterer spills Strata all over herself at Christmas. I love that stinkin movie!

Just so you guys have a heads up - this month is SOOoooo MINE! I thought it was only fair to warn you. ;)

Seriously though, I had been in a bit of a baking slump. This contest revived and inspired me again!

I decided I wanted to play, then forgot to leave a comment! My pie went up this morning, since someone had to have the guts to do Sweeney Todd... Libby
